Our fragrance oils are perfectly suited for creating your own laundry perfume. With a simple formula, you can transform them into a long-lasting fabric fragrance.
Choose between a professional long-lasting formula or a simple DIY version.
Method 1: Professional Laundry Perfume
Ingredients:
- Fragrance oil (IFRA compliant for textiles, check Category 10A)
- Dipropylene Glycol (DPG) Slows evaporation and improves longevity.
- Optional:
- Polysorbate 20 – helps blend with water
- Small amount of alcohol – improves diffusion
Base Formula:
- 20–30% fragrance oil
- 70–80% DPG
Example:
- 250 ml DPG
- 75 ml fragrance oil
How to Use:
- Add 5–10 ml per wash cycle
- Use in the fabric softener compartment
Why This Works:
- DPG helps the fragrance last longer on textiles
- More stable than water-based formulas
- Provides a stronger and longer-lasting scent
Method 2: Simple DIY Laundry Perfume
Ingredients:
- Demineralized water
- Fragrance oil or essential oil
- Small amount of alcohol (such as perfumer’s alcohol)
Formula:
- 90% water
- 5–10% fragrance oil
- 5% alcohol
Instructions:
- Shake well before each use!
Important Tips
- Always follow IFRA % guidelines (Category 10A) for safe usage.
- Do not overdose to avoid staining on fabrics.
- Test on a small piece of fabric first.
- Some fragrance oils may cause allergic reactions.
Extra Tips for Best Results
- Use clean scent profiles such as:
- Cotton
- Fresh Linen
- White Musk
- Combine with a neutral fabric softener for enhanced performance.
- Air dry laundry for a longer-lasting fragrance!
